It was pretty uneventful leaving from terminal 4 at Heathrow ... No queues ... No sudden changes of gates ... No rubber gloves ....just a minor delay due to a thunder storm over the runway ... And we were in the air .. on route to Kula lumpar .... KL they call it... ( Gatwick take note !!!!) ...
A few films were on the agenda worth a watch ... The two hobbit films ( should only be one) which I have no intention of paying for 3 of something that is not a trilogy in real terms... I noticed the new Lego film was on the list ... But was a no show for the flight .... BOO !!!!
Always in your mind when sitting on a malysia flight to this neck of the world is 370 ... And the fact that we were on 001 made me think they had reset the counter after this problem !!! Also you felt that any problems could trigger one if the staff to open the escape door ... So I didn't complain about the Lego movie ... Just in case ....
12 hours later .. a short snooze... And we landed .. to a very clean, very well organised , airport then onwards for a 2 hour trip to kutchin ... Which is nearly kuchin locally meaning cat .... And why cat statues and cat ornaments are every where .
The taxi to the hotel was a tour guide and we got a hitch hickers guide to the city on route .... Once at the hotel it was a hard decision needed ... Do we go out to eat or go out to eat .... We deceided to head out .. it was 10 pm nearly and most places looked shut ... But we were told about Top Spot by our cab driver guide ...And aimed for that place. A wise choice as it happens.
we had 4 assorted set dishes - 2 sea food and one chicken - oh and some veg ...3 large bottles of tiger beer and one small tiger beer ... All for less than 20 quid ... Bargin ... Stuffed and jet-lagged it was time for bed ....
